 Biography

Irene was born in Odessa, Ukraine and has been a Santa Barbara resident for fifteen years,

Her love of art was evident from early childhood. She was first recognized at school for her ability to paint portraits and landscapes.

She was accepted to Odessa School of Arts. Later, Irene got her education in French Language and Literature at Odessa University.

After immigrating to the United States, she earned her Master's Degree at UCLA.

The influence of the French and Russian Impressionists is quite evident in her work and Santa Barbara's natural beauty serves to inspire her use of shapes and bright colors.

The intent of Irene's artistic expression is to elicit the emotions one might have by listening to music or reading a novel, simply by gazing at her paintings.

Irene studied under well renown master Jove Wang.
