About the artist

Steve’s Biography

Born in 1957 in Millbrae, California, Steven was immediately immersed in the natural beauty of the California landscape. Drawing and painting began at a very early age, with dedicated studies in art between 1975 and 1982, culminating in a BFA from California State University, Long Beach.

From 1988 to 2003, Steven owned and operated the Curry Design Agency (CDA) in Santa Monica, California, with clients including Nissan North America, Sony Pictures, the Academy Awards, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory/NASA. During those years, three separate works were selected to be archived in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.

In 2003, Steven retired from commercial work in order to pursue painting full-time, moving to the Ojai Valley, California, a rich and seemingly endless resource of natural beauty.
