Simon’s Biography

International award winning Italian painter Simon Pasini builds on the classical tradition of the Venetian Masters — Giorgione, Titian, Veronese — bringing their mastery of light and fresco-trained technique into thoroughly contemporary interiors and city scenes. He favors quiet, unposed moments: figures absorbed in daily life, a wet street, a café table, a shaft of light across a floor. Pasini often frames these scenes unconventionally, cropping out faces or centering empty space, drawn as much to overlooked details and imperfect corners as to conventional beauty. Every element is deliberate, though the result reads as spontaneous — a fleeting moment caught and held still.

Tone is central to his work, from the sun-bleached warmth of a Venetian terrace to the muted gray of an overcast Amsterdam dusk. Pasini renders reality through a soft, layered veil rather than sharp lines, favoring atmosphere over definition and mood over precision. The effect is intimate and melancholic, suffused with a quiet sense of carpe diem — each painting a single, suspended instant where light, color, and stillness converge into something timeless.
