Rebecca Arguello

Born in Santa Barbara, CA, in 1977, Rebecca attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as Hirudaya Holistic School in San Luis Obispo, CA. After owning a business in holistic care and working as an environmental monitor, she took up painting as her primary focus in 2014. Rebecca has taken workshops and classes from well-known artists and has developed a style of painting she calls expressive and abstractive but grounded in realism. Her command of light is prevalent and deftly rendered throughout her work.

"It is an immense amount of work and passion. I adore the process, the fight and insight learned with every piece."

Artist Statement

My undergraduate work and career in the environmental field have inspired me to protect our lands and waters from the negative influences of human activity. My current body of work is driven by my desire to continue to have a positive impact on the environment. I use my paintings to help bring awareness to the importance of preserving and protecting our surroundings. A portion of the proceeds from each painting sold is donated to an environmental-mission-driven organization.
